How to Apply

Admissions Update | January 10, 2025

Our hearts are heavy as we witness the devastation caused by the fires in our community. We know that many are facing uncertainty, loss, and hardship during this challenging time. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all who are affected.

Guided by our motto, Actions Not Words, we want to extend our hands to you and offer our assistance during this difficult time.

To ensure no family feels burdened by the application process amidst the challenges you may be facing, we are extending our application deadline to January 24, and all supplemental documents and the financial aid application to January 31. Additionally, all shadow days and interviews are postponed until further notice. If your family would like a further extension, feel free to contact our office at admissions@ctsportsadvisor.com. If there are other ways we can assist, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us directly with how we may best accommodate you. We are here for you and ready to help in any way we can.

Together, as a community of faith and action, we will continue to walk alongside one another, offering strength and hope as we heal and rebuild our beloved community.

With prayers,
The Mayfield Senior School Admissions Team

You are only six steps away from us now!

The application process at Mayfield is all about being yourself. We want to get to know you and find out more about you. There are no wrong answers!

Here is the process explained in six easy steps:

Being in a new school without knowing anyone made me think that my transition to High School would be super difficult. However, because of Mayfield's love and support, I was able to transition so easily, and built a home for myself at Mayfield.

Our Admission's team has 3 great tips for you:

Define what's important to you in high school

Every high school has something special to offer. What matters is finding the place where you will be your best self, where you will grow and thrive. Some things to consider include academic programs, class size, single-sex vs. coed, spirituality, extra-curricular activities. Reflect on what you have to give and what you want to receive from your future high school.

Start Early

Start attending open houses in 6th or 7th grade to get a sense of the schools you love and where you want to apply. In 8th grade, begin your online application early. You don’t need to complete it all in one sitting—you can log out and come back any time to finish your answers.

Your principal and current teachers really appreciate it when you give them plenty of time to write your recommendation letters. As soon as you decide where you are applying to high school, ask for your letters.

Don't be nervous. Be yourself!

We are not going to put you on the spot or ask trick questions during your interview. We want to know about your hobbies, your favorite classes, what you like to do on weekends. What are you really passionate about? Write essays in your own words. We want to hear your voice. No pressure!
